Editorial note
Salesforce cut roughly 4,000 customer-support roles, shrinking that division from about 9,000 staff to 5,000. In a September 2025 interview, CEO Marc Benioff explicitly tied the reduction to AI, saying he needed "less heads" as the company's Agentforce agents handled more cases. Because the company itself named AI as the cause, this is tagged Explicit.
